Consumers Code | Fletcher Homes

Your home, built with care and confidence

Ensuring you’re completely satisfied and confident in your new home is a top priority for us.
At Fletcher Homes, we don’t just build homes, we guide you through the whole journey, making sure you’re informed, supported, and protected at every stage. That’s why we follow the latest Consumer Code for Home Builders (Fifth Edition, January 2024).

This Code applies to all developers registered with a recognised warranty provider – like NHBC, who provide the 10-year warranty included with every Fletcher home. The Code sets the standards for how we communicate with you, what information you’re given, and how we support you before, during and after your purchase. It’s all about fairness, transparency, and doing things the right way.

Added protection for your home

The Consumer Code offers protection throughout your homebuying journey – from reservation to after-sales care. It gives you peace of mind that your deposit is protected and your rights are clear.

A scheme developed by industry leaders

The Code was established by homebuilders, industry bodies and warranty providers to raise standards and make the homebuying experience clearer and fairer for customers across the UK.

Protection for each stage of your purchase

Whether you’re choosing a plot or moving into your new home, the Code covers every phase – including how we communicate, how we handle changes, and how we resolve any issues.

What is the Consumer Code?

Following the Consumer Code is part of our promise to deliver a high standard of customer care – not just in how we build, but how we treat you. By following the Code, Fletcher Homes ensures you:

  • Are treated fairly by our team and any agents we work with
  • Understand who you’re buying from and our legal status as your developer
  • Get clear, upfront information before you commit to buying
  • Have 14 days to change your mind after reservation, with a full refund of your reservation fee
  • Know your deposit is protected and what your rights are
  • Receive honest timelines for construction, completion and handover
  • Know what standards to expect in your home
  • Understand how to maintain your home and who to contact for support
  • Can access a simple, structured complaints process – with independent dispute resolution if needed
  • Receive extra support if you’re in a vulnerable position and need help to make informed decisions
